Rockabillys Announce the Return of Sam Quinn-Loeb as 2025 Field Manager

Jackson, Tenn. - Today, the Jackson Rockabillys announce their 2025 Field Manager, Sam Quinn-Loeb, who is returning from a very successful 2024 Prospect League campaign. Quinn-Loeb led the 2024 Rockabillys to a commanding 33-22 record for the 2024 season, finishing in second place each half of the season, going 17-10 in the first half and 16-12 in the second half. Quinn-Loeb is currently the Head Baseball Coach at Plattsburgh State University (NY).

"It is great to return to Jackson in 2025 and manage the Rockabillys. We had a great season last year and look to build on that with a playoff appearance in 2025. Jackson, Tennessee, is a great spot for summer ball and offers a first-class facility for the players and our fans. I look forward to managing the Rockabillys again this summer," remarked Quinn-Loeb.

"We are proud and honored that Sam is returning to lead our 2025 squad after a successful 2024 season. Field managers that return for another season at the same helm is not always the case, and we are blessed to have the continuity and continued relationship that is integral to a smooth-operation. Sam was and is a great leader and a class individual-- we are all looking forward to a great 2025 season with high hopes and anticipation for what we can achieve together, added Rockabillys President/General Manager Dennis Bastien.

In the 2024 collegiate spring season, Quinn-Loeb guided Plattsburgh State to a 24-16 season, finishing 10-8 in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) and made the SUNYAC tournament for the second time in three years under Quinn-Loeb. The team's overall wins were the most since 2010, and the conference wins tied a program record set in 2010.

In his first year as head coach, Quinn-Loeb led the Cardinals to one of their best seasons, finishing with a 21-19 record, the team's best since the 2012 season. While serving on former head coach Kris Doorey's staff, Quinn-Loeb helped the Cardinals come within at least a game of qualifying for the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Tournament in the past two seasons. In 2021, the Cardinals ranked among the top four in the SUNYAC in batting average and on-base percentage.

In addition to his collegiate baseball coaching experience, Quinn-Loeb has served as head coach of the Plattsburgh Thunderbirds (Empire Baseball League, 2021), the Geneva Snowcats (Interstate Collegiate Baseball League, 2020), the Newark Pilots (Perfect Games Collegiate Baseball League, 2019), the Wellsville Nitros (New York Collegiate Baseball League, 2017) and the Geneva Red Wings (Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League, 2016). He also served as a player-coach for the Road City Explorers of the Empire Pro League in 2015.

Sam Quinn-Loeb, a Hamburg, N.Y., native, has a deep-rooted connection to baseball. He played collegiate baseball at the SUNY Polytechnic Institute for three years, where he honed his skills and developed a passion for the game. Quinn-Loeb graduated from SUNYIT in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and a minor in accounting. He received his Master of Science in fitness and wellness leadership at SUNY Plattsburgh in 2022, further enhancing his knowledge and understanding of the physical and mental aspects of the game.
