Poor Pitching Dooms Rockabillys Early in 22-8 Loss to Hoots

The Rockabillys suffered their first home loss of the 2024 season tonight as they were unable to come out on top against the O'Fallon Hoots.
Porous pitching doomed the Goats early in the ballgame as the Hoots were able to jump out to a monster 15-0 lead through three innings, capped off by Will Briggs' three-run home run. It was a nightmare outing for Rockabillys starter Cole Evans, who gave up twelve runs through the first inning and a half before being pulled for Taylor Vinson.
The Goats made it somewhat interesting later in the game, cutting the deficit down to 15-7, but a seven-run seventh inning for the Hoots all but dashed the Rockabillys' hopes of a comeback.
The game was called after seven full innings of play, and the Hoots took home the 22-8 win in a high-scoring affair.
The Goats fall to 10-6 on the season with the loss. They will get another shot at the Hoots and try to attain a different result at home tomorrow at 7:00 PM CDT.
Go Goats!
