Chris Akers Walks Off Bees in Rockabillys' Comeback Win

Chris Akers was the hero tonight as the Rockabillys took the first game in a three-game series against the Burlington Bees by a score of 8-7.

Akers' RBI single in the bottom of the ninth was the clincher for the Goats that helped them complete their massive comeback, as the game was trending in the Bees' favor until the last minute. The Rockabillys were down by scores of 5-0 in the fifth inning and 7-3 in the ninth, but they were never deterred.

Down to their last inning, the Goats racked up three runs to storm back and tie the game at 7, and Akers then stepped up and drove in the game-winning run.

The Rockabillys improve to 15-8 with the win. They will take on the Bees again in the second game of their three-game set at home tomorrow at 7:00 PM CDT.
