Rockabillys Earn Sweep over Bees with Third Straight Win

The Rockabillys were able to complete the three-game sweep over the Burlington Bees with an 11-6 win last night.

This one didn't come without its fair share of bumps and bruises for the Goats, however, as the Bees refused to give up after an early deficit and raced back to tie the game at 4 in the sixth inning. The Rockabillys then took the lead right back and went up 7-4 in the bottom of the sixth courtesy of a 2-RBI single from Merik Carter.

The Bees managed to get the game within one run, trimming the deficit to 7-6 in the seventh inning, but an explosive last two innings for the Goats derailed any chances of a Bees rally.

The Rockabillys improve to 17-8 on the season with the win. They will take on the Prospect League-leading Thrillville Thrillbilles on the road tomorrow at 7:00 PM CDT.

Go Goats!
