Rockabillys Hold On to Late Lead to Escape Catfish

The Rockabillys were able to narrowly defeat the Cape Catfish by a score of 13-12 in a game that was delayed about two hours due to rain.

This was a wild and high-scoring game that saw a little bit of everything, including a Rockabillys player being ejected early in the game.  The Goats looked like they were threatening to pull away in the top of the fifth when they held a 10-6 lead, but the Catfish stormed back and tied it at 10 in the bottom of the inning. The Rockabillys then increased their lead back up to three, punctuated by an RBI single from Will Bowen, and were able to hold off the Catfish's late comeback attempt and hang on to a one-run lead to take home the 13-12 win.

The Goats improve to 3-0 in the second half of the 2024 season and 20-10 overall. They will head home to take on the Catfish again on the Fourth of July, with a special firework night presented by H&R AgriPower. It'll be a night you won't want to miss.

Go Goats!
