Rockabillys Overwhelm Catfish in Series-Clinching Win

The Rockabillys didn't even need the full nine innings to put the Catfish away on the Fourth of July, winning tonight by a score of 16-6 in seven innings of play.

Even though it looked a little dicey when the Catfish jumped out to a 4-2 lead early on, the Goats were never rattled. They only allowed two more runs the rest of the way, and their bats really got going in the fifth where they put up six runs to go up 11-5. Then, the walks got going, as some poor pitching from the Catfish allowed the Rockabillys to bring across five runs via bases-loaded walks in the bottom of the seventh inning to officially seal the win.

The Rockabillys improve to 4-0 in the second half of the season and 21-10 overall. They will take on the Catfish again tomorrow in the rubber match of this three-game series at home at 7:00 PM CDT, and this game will have the 45 South Off Road Jeep Parade prior to the action.

Go Goats!
