Rockabillys Run-Ruled by Hoots, Suffer Third Straight Loss

Coming off the heels of two losses to the Alton River Dragons in last night's doubleheader, the Rockabillys were run-ruled by the O'Fallon Hoots tonight in seven innings by a score of 15-5.

The Goats' offense struggled once again tonight, as they were able to jump out to an early 1-0 lead heading after the first inning and a half, but that was pretty much about as good as things got for them tonight. The Hoots proceeded to have a monster eight-run second inning punctuated by a grand slam home run to take an 8-1 lead. The Hoots increased their lead to 10-2 heading into the seventh. The Rockabillys were able to piece together three runs to cut the deficit down to five, but the Hoots' offense exploded again in the bottom of the seventh, producing five more runs and ending the Goats' night early.

The Rockabillys drop to 8-8 in the second half of the season and 25-18 overall with their third consecutive loss. They will look to right the ship when they head out to face the Burlington Bees tomorrow at 6:30 PM CDT in what will be a Throwback Thursday night for the Bees.
