Rockabillys Shut Out by Bees, Run-Ruled for Second Straight Game

The Rockabillys were shut out and run-ruled in seven innings for the second consecutive game, this time coming at the hands of the Burlington Bees.
The Goats' offense was truly putrid in this game as they could get literally nothing going throughout the night. They only had three total hits on the game, and the defense was sloppy throughout the night to the tune of three errors. The Bees got out to an early 2-0 lead before a monstrous third and fourth inning stretch extended their lead to 9-0. And it only got worse from there as the Bees put on even more runs, punctuated by a no-doubt two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth, to reach the final score of 14-0.
The Rockabillys drop to 8-9 in the second half of the season and 25-19 overall with their fourth straight loss. They will likely look to burn the tape from this one forever, but first they will head out on the road once again to take on the Springfield Lucky Horseshoes tomorrow at 6:30 PM CDT.
Go Goats!
