Pitching Fuels Rockabillys to Low-Scoring Win over Lucky Horseshoes

The Rockabillys were able to snap their four-game skid by beating the Lucky Horseshoes tonight on the road by a score of 4-2.

Contrary to the past few games, it was the pitching of the Goats that was key for them in the win tonight. Starter Trey Watson was spectacular throughout, as the only score he gave up was a home run in the third inning and he struck out five Horseshoe batters. From there, closer Jaxson Lucas came in and continued to showcase why he is arguably the best closer in the Prospect League as he shut down any hopes of a Horseshoe rally, and the Goats took home the win to stop their losing streak.

The Rockabillys improve to 9-9 in the second half of the season and 26-19 overall with the win. They'll look to nab their second straight over the Lucky Horseshoes when the two teams face off again in Springfield tomorrow at 6:30 PM CDT.

Go Goats!
