Rockabillys Fall to Lucky Horseshoes in Seven Innings

The Rockabillys were run-ruled in seven innings for the second time in three games, losing to the Springfield Lucky Horseshoes tonight by a score of 12-2.
Missed opportunities were the story of the night for the Goats in this one, as the Rockabillys had plenty of traffic on the bases throughout the night but only managed to put up two runs, and the Goats' offense struggled once again as they managed seven hits to Springfield's 11 and were a ghastly 2-13 with runners in scoring position.
The Lucky Horseshoes held a dominant lead for much of the night, but there was a brief glimmer of hope after Will Bowen's 2-RBI bloop double in the seventh inning cut the lead to six. However, the Lucky Horseshoes put up four more runs in the bottom of the inning, half of which came off bases-loaded walks.
The Rockabillys drop to 9-10 in the second half of the season and 26-20 overall with the loss. They will look to get back on track as their road trip continues tomorrow against the Cape Catfish at 4:05 PM CDT in a vitally important game that could go a long way towards determining the playoff futures of both teams.
