Rockabillys' Offense Explodes En Route to 16-5 Win over Bombers

The Rockabillys rebounded from yesterday's frustrating loss in a big way tonight as they took care of the Dubois County Bombers in eight innings by a score of 16-5.

The offense was humming throughout the night in this one, as the Goats took a 4-0 lead by the end of the first inning and never looked back. They built the lead up to as many as nine runs before the Bombers were able to tack on two runs in the bottom of the sixth. The closest the Bombers got was six runs, as the Rockabillys used a big five-run eighth inning to put the game away and bring it to the final score of 16-5.

Nearly every player in the offense found a way to contribute and score in this one, as the first scoring action of the game came off Will Bowen's solo home run. Dalton Rudd, Brian Daker, Julian Jimenez, Jackson Blemler, and Merik Carter all drew in at least one RBI each, and the Bombers were simply unable to keep up.

The Goats improve to 12-12 in the second half of the season and 29-22 overall. They will look to keep pace with the O'Fallon Hoots and Cape Catfish in the South division as the season winds down, and they will head home to take on the Thrillville Thrillbillies tomorrow at 7:00 PM CDT.

Go Goats!
