TWO ROCKABILLYS NAMED TO 2024 PROSPECT LEAGUE POSTSEASON ALL-STAR TEAM

Jackson, Tenn - Two Jackson Rockabillys pitchers have been chosen by the 2024 Prospect League managers as All Star players for the just-completed season:
Jaxson Lucas has been awarded the 2024 Galen Woods Fireman of the Year award as the league top relief pitcher and closer. Lucas, a native of Hoover, Alabama, and having played the 2024 collegiate season at University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, recorded 134 saves in just 17 appearances and 20.2 innings pitched, notching a 0.87 ERA, with 28 K's and a Whip of .77. " Our team and fans just knew, when the ninth inning rolled around and we had that lead or were tied, that Jaxson would come in and slam the door", emphasized Rockabillys President/GM Dennis Bastien," everyone was that confident in him."
Trey Watson was also selected as a Western Conference All-Star Starting Pitcher. Watson finished the season leading ALL Prospect League Pitchers in ERA
at 3.21, in wins at 6, WHIP of 1.14 and allowing only 16 walks in 56 innings pitched with 44 strike-outs. A native of Beauregard/Auburn, Alabama and a University of Mobile diamond ace, Watson was the staff ace for the 2024 Jackson Rockabillys. " Every fourth or fifth game, when Trey took his turn as our number one starter, we knew he would throw a masterful game," noted Bastien," We cannot speak more to his uncanny consistent starts as well as his character--Trey was the stalwart of our starting staff all season".
