Rockabillys Triumph Over Dubois to Take Series

JACKSON, Tenn. - This year's iteration of the Jackson Rockabillys have a flare for the dramatic, and once again had enough to overcome an early six run deficit to defeat the Bombers 9-8 and snag the three game set, two games to one.

Starting pitcher Matthew Riley didn't have his best stuff, with two innings of work that allowed for Dubois to collect a six run lead. However, the 'Billys bullpen had Riley's back with Hunter McLemoreJoe RominesCole Lannom, and closer Jaxson Lucas tossing a combined seven innings and striking out 12. For Lucas, his save tonight was already his third this year, which leads the Prospect League.

Offensively, Parks Bouck delivered once again, staying disciplined at the dish and serving out three base hits. Shockingly, despite Bouck's quality performance this year, the veteran has yet to snag an extra-base hit.

University of Memphis teammates Webb Watson and Jack Pitts helped pace the offense, going a combined four-for-seven with four runs scored and two RBI.

Jackson had responded after trailing through the first three innings by pushing across three in both the fourth and fifth. Then, the eventual nail in the coffin was a three run outburst in the seventh, thanks to timely hitting from the aforementioned Tigers teammates, and a walk from Drew McConnell

Despite their chances, the Bombers found no answers, and the Goats came through for the home crowd once more.

Goats Notes: The Rockabillys are back in action tonight versus the O'Fallon Hoots in O'Fallon Mo. with gametime currently set for 6:35 p.m.
