JACKSON ROCKABILLYS BASEBALL

Catfish Comeback and Stun Rockabillys 6-4

Catfish Comeback and Stun Rockabillys 6-4

JACKSON, Tenn.- The Rockabillys led for seven innings but couldn't separate themselves from the best offense in the Prospect League, as Cape stormed back and defeated Jackson.

The Goats built a three run lead early in the game, utilizing a whole host of Catfish mistakes to do so. An excess of free passes from Cape culminated in a passed ball, a sacrifice fly from Ivan Vega and a bloop single from Charlie Jury that plated Adriel Vega to set this three run standard.

Cape crawled back against Chase Chamberlain, who worked through some control issues of his own, but managed to hold the Catfish to a singular run through six innings of work.

However, Cape would stick around and eventual tie the game in the eighth, with a single and a passed ball knotting things up at three.

In the bottom frame, Drake Blackwood hit a two out triple to right center, and the 'Billys just needed three outs to come away with win number eight in as many games. Instead, Cape rallied and boasted four hits in the top of the ninth, three of them going for extra bases.

The shocked Rockabillys had virtually no answer in the bottom, and fell to their interdivisional foes.

Goats Notes: The Goats have their chance at revenge tonight in Cape Girardeau against the Catfish. First pitch is slated for 4:05 p.m. CDT.
