Jackson Halted by Cape in 5-0 Defeat

Jackson Halted by Cape in 5-0 Defeat

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.- For the seventh straight time Jackson dropped a game versus Cape, in what turned out to be a shutout of the Billys on Thursday night.

The highlight of the evening was a solid three inning relief effort from Bradey Moad, who allowed one hit and only one earned run, marking his second pitching performance this year.

Jackson got into the hit column just once over the seven inning game, with Cade Miles being the lone man to find a knock. Despite this bad offensive showing, the Rockabillys only struck out four times as a squad. This indicates that there were a lot of balls in play, they just simply were not dropping for the Goats. '

For Cape, they would do most of their damage against starter Matthew Riley in the third, as they popped three runs in during the bottom frame.

A slow Rockabillys offense and a torrent Catfish performance meshed together, it what became the third consecutive road defeat for the Goats.

Goats Notes: The Rockabillys will reset tonight versus Illinois Valley, with first pitch slated for 7:00 p.m. CDT. It is Fireworks Night at Rockabillys Stadium, so be sure to bring a friend, some family, or both, to see a ball game with a light show after!
